Our mission at Gameday Sports is to provide today's young athlete with the best possible baseball experience! Gameday Sports hosts USSSA baseball events in Columbia / Lexington SC, Upstate SC, Coastal SC, and Lowcountry, SC/Eastern, GA. By hosting such a wide variety of events and locations, we are able to offer our teams a more competitive experience regardless of classification level. Please look through our website because there is a lot of great information. We have spent much time pulling together all of the best baseball products, equipment and apparel to enable you, our players, coaches and parents access to purchase at the lowest possible prices. We look forward to serving you in your Travel Baseball Experience!
Inside this manual are best practices for our sports, as developed by our USSSA POST COVID-19 Task Force. These best practices are designed to help directors with ideas and plans for operating events post COVID-19. They do not replace or supersede any protocols or restrictions outlined by state or local authorities. All directors must continue to follow those local or state guidelines.

Effective August 3, 2020
Personal Protective Equipment
¨ Face masks/coverings are required for entry at Lexington County Recreation facilities.
¨ Spectators must wear face coverings at all times when feasible.
¨ Players are expected to wear face coverings when not actively participating on the field of play.
¨ Coaches are required to wear face coverings when feasible.
¨ Umpires/Officials are encouraged to wear face coverings during the game. When possible, Umpires/Officials should maintain physical distance and limit one coach from each team to attend plate meetings.
¨ Umpires/Officials are encouraged to dress out prior to arrival.
¨ Umpires/Officials are encouraged to bring their own personal water bottle.
¨ 6 FT Social Distancing markings will be throughout the complex (Concessions, Restrooms, etc.)
¨ Teams and Spectators are encouraged to bring antibacterial wipes and hand sanitizer to use throughout the event.
¨ Full concessions will be available, following DHEC safety guidelines.
¨ Commonly used areas and surfaces such as restrooms, doors, handrails, etc. will be disinfected regularly.
Facility Entrance & Exit Procedures
¨ Entrance and Exit pathways will be designated to encourage social distancing.
Social Distancing for TEAMS
¨ Players are discouraged from sharing equipment, spitting, licking fingers, etc.
(NO Sunflower Seeds or Gum)
¨ Players should bring their own personal water bottle (NO SHARING).
¨ “Player Seating” will be designated in the bleachers for those who want to social distance outside of the dugout.
¨ Teams are encouraged to sanitize hard surfaces and high touch points when arriving for their first game and at the end of the game.
¨ At completion of the game and sanitizing the dugout, teams are encouraged to exit the complex immediately.
¨ Game times will be staggered to help insure social distancing.
¨ Teams are responsible for removing trash and equipment from dugouts after play.
¨ NO ON-FIELD AWARD CEREMONIES OR PRESENTATIONS.
¨ NO POST-GAME TEAM HANDSHAKES, FIST BUMPS, OR MEETINGS.
Social Distancing for SPECTATORS
¨ Spectators are encouraged to bring personal chairs if bleacher seating is non-desirable.
¨ At completion of the game, spectators are encouraged to exit the complex immediately.
¨ Tents are permitted, but need to be taken down at the completion of each game.
¨ When possible, spectators should follow 6ft social distancing.
